Loyola University Chicago’s School of Communication provides students with a community that fosters critical thinking and innovation and provides state-of-the-art production facilities, labs, and equipment. Through the School of Communication, students learn how to adapt to changing technology and social needs as ethical professionals who make lasting contributions through communication.

THE CHALLENGE

When 30 supporters make a gift to any area of the School of Communication, $1,000 in additional support will be unlocked thanks to a Rambler who wishes to remain anonymous. 

What do the funds support?

You can choose to support the School of Communication Greatest Needs or Scholarships, which directly supports our students and their education. You may also choose to support WLUW, the Loyola Phoenix, or Rambler Sports Locker.

WLUW 88.7 FM is the student-run independent, non-commercial radio station broadcasting from the School of Communication at Loyola University Chicago. WLUW is dedicated to broadcasting independent music and informative talk programming 24 hours a day, seven days a week and streams worldwide. WLUW also offers a podcast studio. You can catch WLUW at nearly every music festival in Chicago! WLUW seeks to provide the leading college radio experience in Chicago.

The Loyola Phoenix is the official student newspaper of Loyola University Chicago. The Phoenix is published on Wednesdays during the school year and is distributed on the Lake Shore and Water Tower campuses and is available online. In 2015, the Phoenix was named the nation’s best college weekly newspaper by the Society of Professional Journalists.

Rambler Sports Locker is Loyola's first, and only, student-run weekly television program. The group meets every Thursday afternoon to produce a show on all things sports. RSL is open to all majors from all backgrounds who want to learn about broadcast production.
